Studio Z Flowers
Studio Z Flowers is uniquely located in Paonia, CO nestled at the base of the West Elk Wilderness to the east and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison looking out into the vast expanse of the west. Mountain and deserts, flaming sunsets, quiet dew filled sunrises over the mountains, these are just a few images that inspire our floral designs. We are committed to using the highest quality, vibrant and soulful material from Zephyros Farm and Garden and other local flower farms first before sourcing flowers elsewhere. We are passionate about our job as designers and are committed to providing the most exquisite floral designs for each event, as well as, creating an exceptional experience for our clients with our attention to detail and customer service. We are available throughout the Rocky Mountain West and beyond.
It is our belief that great flowers are the foundation of a beautiful design. As farmer florists, our designs begin with the intention, attention and nurturing from when we seed or plant a flower, to the harvest of the flower at its optimal stage, all the way to the selection and placement of the flower in the arrangement. It is this unique relationship between the farm and designer that allows us to knowingly recognize Zephyros Farm and Garden as the soul of Studio Z Flowers. Connection to place, inspiration from the natural surroundings and investment of time and love to the work that goes into producing amazing product all culminates in the creations that come out of our studio.
Zephyros Farm and Garden is a Certified Organic 35 acre farm on the Western Slope of the Rockies growing over a 1000 varieties of woody and herbaceous perennials, annuals and bulbs for the past 13 years. Don Lareau and Daphne Yannakakis have a collective plant and farm enterprise experience of over 40 years! They are passionate about being stewards of their land, creating habitat for wildlife and employing sustainable, organic and biodynamic practices on the farm. They invite a family environment with their employees enjoying harvest day lunches that are feasts to behold. They send everyone who invests themselves in their operation home with flowers in one hand and a bag full of beautiful vegetables in the other.
Committed to education, they have a vibrant internship program where they immerse individuals from far and near to the process of operating a small diversified family farm. Inviting the community to experience the farm, they host farm to table dinners, weddings and events as well as live music in their Occasional Funk Feasts. All of the love, vibrancy and passion toward the land and community are transferred into the product they grow and speak clearly through their flowers.
